Character Personality: I see him mainly as a loyal, trustwothy person; he could give ANYTHING for the ones he loves. Maybe that's because elves and half-elves have always been discriminated in ToS world, and he has never had a place to call his home, nor real friends in his life... not until he meets Lloyd, Collette and the other ToS heroes, at least. She may be a bit childish sometimes (he's a child after all), but he is wise and often quite more mature and sensible than he seems. He can be brave, but never imprudent, and is always ready to listen to reason and make other do it before having a fight with anyone. On the bad side, he can be a bit annoying sometimes, specially when he goes nerdy (what happens sometimes). He's a genius after all. On the other hand, it is said all genius are precocius, not only in academics, but in the way they feel, love... and lust. Genis is supposed to be straight, for he seems to shows an early interest for Presea Combatir first time she appears in the game (and they'd make a cute pairing, for sure), but he soon loses that interest (the reasons are not totally clear for me; a hole in the plot?) in favour of... his good friend Lloyd. Suspicious :P
Background: Genis Sage is a young elf; if he was human, he'd be about 12 years old. He used to live with his elder sister Raine (aka. Professor Raine, aka. Archaeology Freak) in the village of Iselia. He was meant to be a sidekick to follow the main character, Lloyd Irving (aka. Dick, aka. Dork, aka. Moron), as a typical "loyal-to-the-end best friend", but he's something else (see "Character personality" above). When the adventure told in ToS finished, Genis and his sister Raine say they'd keep travelling all around the world, but at some point in the game, during their first visit to Palmacosta, Genis tells about his intention of finishing his studies after the so-called "world regeneration journey" (the adventure of Tales of Symphonia) finishes. And that's why he applies for this school. I said he's a genius, so it's completely "normal" for him to apply for a school for seniors, despite the fact he's still a pre-teenager. Well... I suppose.
